The Carmelite Monestary in San Diego is located on a cliff face and required cliff stabilzation. |
| Project Details |
Design two slope stabilization walls incorporating shotcrete and drilled double corrosion-protected tie-backs. The wall to the right was laid out to incorporate ramps between the walls, to be used as an access walkway, rather than parallel walls as at the left. Sculptured shotcrete left the finished product blending in with the surrounding unvegetated bluffs. |
